Besigye Begs For Campaign Money

As presidential campaigns kicks off today, Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye has requested for financial contributions from his supporters.

Yesterday, team Besigye issued five MTN mobile money phone numbers and a centenary bank account that supporters can use to financially contribute to Besigye’s campaigns.

The mobile money numbers are 0775- 350154, 0775-350263, 0775-350473, 0775-350385, 0775-350485 and Centenary Bank Account No: A/C NAME: KIZZA BESIGYE A/C NO: 3010014114, Entebbe branch.

During his after nomination procession from Namboole to Nakivubo stadium, Besigye’s supporters ushered him with gifts ranging from money to a sofa set, flowerpots, potted plants, spray pump, pair of slippers, many sets of handkerchiefs, loaves of bread and other items.

“I was given money contributions along the way – a total of Shs2,779,000, $320 (about Shs1 million) and 900 Oman biasa. I am sure if we had time at the Nakivubo rally, we would have got much more,” he wrote on social media after the nomination campaign procession.

In July, as Besigye traversed the country campaigning for FDC presidential flag bearer, his confidants were soliciting for financial support to sustain the now four time presidential candidate.
