Cranes Face Egypt In Crucial World Cup Qualifiers Game Today

Today at 4pm, Uganda Cranes will take on the Egypt Pharaohs in the historic 2018 FIFA world cup in Russia group D qualifier game.

Uganda Cranes coach Moses Basena will be seeking divine intervention when the Cranes come up against continental powerhouse Egypt Pharaohs later today.

During the official pre-match press conference at Namboole on Wednesday, Basena said all is set for the game and the players are on form for the match.

He vowed to emulate the Biblical Moses who liberated the people of Israel from wilderness.

Some of the players expected in this match include Goalkeepers: Dennis Onyango, Robert Odongkara, Ismail Watenga, Benjamin Ochan

Defenders: Nico Wakiro Wadada , Isaac Muleme, Timothy Dennis Awany , Murushid Juuko, Bernard Muwanga , Geofrey ‘Jajja Walu’ Walusimbi, Dennis Iguma, Paul Musamali, Isaac Isinde

Midfielders: Aucho Khalid,  Ivan ‘Kojja’ Ntege, Muzamiru Mutyaba, Paul Mucureezi, Tom Masiko,Shafiq Kagimu, Hassan Wasswa Mawanda, Joseph Ochaya, William Luwagga Kizito

Strikers: Derrick Nsibambi , Geofrey Sserunkuma, Emmanuel Okwi, Milton Karisa, Faruku Miya.

The Cranes conducted their final training session in the afternoon but Romanian based winger William Luwagga Kizito did not take part.

The match kicks off 4pm at the Mandela National stadium, Namboole and the return leg will be In Egypt Alexandria stadium next Tuesday.
