Addressing media at his Kasangati home today morning, Besigye stated that Kavuma’s orders banning FDC activates will go down in Uganda’s history as the “most ridiculous.”

“This defiance campaign is not a Besigye’s Defiance. It is the citizens’ campaign defying injustice. Kavuma decreed that it is criminal to address the media but you are all here and I am addressing you. That is defiance. The order by Justice Kavuma will go down in the annals of judicial history as the most ridiculous,” he stated.

Besigye further noted; “Let it be clear that this defiance campaign will go on until the NRM regime collapses. It will go down. If this country belongs to Museveni, he will prevail, if it belongs to Ugandans, citizens will prevail.”

Today police heavily deployed at FDC headquarters in Najjanakumbi blocking people who were gathering for weekly prayers.

Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago suspended Makerere institute of social research fellow Dr Stella Nyanzi and Pastor Happy Ngabo were among those arrested as police stormed the FDC headquarters in Najjanankumbi.
