After the murder of government prosecutor Joan Kagezi yesterday, the Democratic Party has condemned the act and its perpetrators.
During a press briefing at the party headquarters in Kampala, Kakande Kenneth Paul the party spokesperson said that they mourn with the rest of Ugandans for a person who has been doing her work diligently and with one heart.
Kagezi was shot by unknown assailants who trailed her on her way home.
“The government should not be intimidated by these acts,” Kakande said.
After government warned the public against terrorism attacks a few days ago, Democratic Party was surprised how this could happen at this time.

DP went on to condemn government for not providing security to such a high profile person.
“Kayihura and all those who control security should do more on security than they do on politics”, Kakande said.
