Uganda Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic has denied reports that he is quitting Uganda Cranes job for the South Africa national team.
Reports emerged yesterday citing that Micho was in line to replace Shakes Mashaba as the Bafana Bafana coach.
This came after the SAFA suspended Mashaba following their 2-1 victory against Senegal in the World Cup Qualifiers.
Micho who guided Cranes to a narrow 1-0 victory over Congo Brazzaville on Saturday took to twitter to dispel the rumour.
“I strongly deny rumours and speculations linking me with South Africa due to my unreserved loyalty to Uganda and absolute respect for South Africa,” Micho said.
South African journalist Neil Greig sparked the speculation when he revealed that Micho was on his way to South Africa.
“Just spoken to my contact in Uganda. He is a trusted veteran and says Micho for Bafana is on,” Greig tweeted.
Micho who led Cranes to the 2017 African Cup of Nations after a 39 year absence insisted he is now focused on the tournament to be in held Gabon in January.
