I Don’t Want To Be A Minister In M7 Gov’t — Barnabas Tinkasimire

Buyaga County MP, Barnabas Tinkasimire has said he is not willing to be a minister under president Museveni’s regime but is advocating for more ministries from Bunyoro region.

Tinkasimire is championing the demand for more misters from the region after president Museveni dropped second deputy Prime Minister Henry Kajura who lost his parliamentary seat.

“I don’t want to be minister but if President Museveni appointed me, I would recommend some other names,” he stated while appearing on NBS today morning.

“Whether Cabinet is lean or big, Bunyoro must have its share. We voted well and we have the oil.”

He argued that Bunyoro is very angry because they have been having at least two ministers and the least Museveni could have done is maintain those two.

“Museveni said those who vote well will be rewarded… President Museveni chose the politics of patronage and he should face the consequences. We want our ministers,” he noted.

Tinkasimire said they have been betrayed arguing that Bunyoro needs to be recognized.

“With Cabinet ministers from Bunyoro, the region will be able to benefit from the oil. We are entitled,” he said.
