This followed a resolution made three weeks ago by the House to set up a select committee to investigate the issues surrounding the ongoing takeover of land belonging to Nabagereka Primary School and other schools within Kampala city by people who claim to be investors.

There were claims as well that the people assuming ownership of the land use Uganda Police personnel to take it over.

“I have established a Select Committee comprising of six Members to find out who is behind the land grabbing of Nabagereka Primary School,” the Speaker announced in the House last week.

The select committee will comprise of Hon. Robert Migadde (Buvuma Islands, Buvuma), Hon. Kassiano Wadri (Terego County, Arua), Hon. Kabaale Olivia (Iganga), Hon. Wilfred Niwagaba (Ndorwa East, Kabale), Hon. Patrick Mulindwa (Kasambya County, Mubende) and Hon. Mathias Mpuuga (Masaka Municiality, Masaka).
