Kenya stun Uganda in Cecafa Cup Group B clash

Kenya Harambe Stars started their campaign at the 2015 CECAFA Senior Change Cup in Ethiopia by thumping Uganda Cranes 2-0.

Jacob Keli’s 29th minute finish sent the Harambe Stars into the lead following an Eric Omollo’s flowing ball that left the Cranes Backline of Murushid Juuko and Shafik Bakaki helpless.

Brought in substitute and on form Gor Majia FC goal machine, Michael Olunga needed only two touches at the ball before firing in a hard shot past James Alitho who was in the Cranes goal in the 50th minute.

For the Cranes nearly close chances witnessed skipper, Farouk Miya hitting the wood work.

Ceaser Okhuti had another golden opportunity that went to waste after Denis Okot’s thunderbolt shot was punched by goalie Bonface Oluch  and Okhuti could not make the finish.

Cranes Head Coach Micho Sredojevic brought in KCCA FC combatant midfielders, Ivan Ntege and Kezironi Kizito for Hassan Wasswa Dazo and Isaac Muleme respectively.

URA FC forward Frank Machette Kalanda replaced Vipers SC winger Erisa Ssekisambu.
