M7 Scoops Prestigious Life Achievement Award


The President of Uganda H.E Yoweri K Museveni has won himself a prestigious Life Achievement Award.

The awards organized by the African Leadership Awards Uganda 2016 recognized Museveni for spearheading stability in the East African Region.

According to award organizers, Museveni has been instrumental in fighting rebel groups which have tried to topple governments in Burundi, Somalia, and Democratic Republic of Congo.

He is also recognized for his hand in stabilizing Kenya in 2007 during the post-Election riot.

Museveni was represented by State minister for youth affairs, Nakiwaala Kiyingi on the award ceremony.

Mrs Kiyingi applauded him of being at the forefront of stopping violence in the neighbouring countries which has strengthened the regional cooperation.

Meanwhile, it was not only the president that was recognized; many other Ugandan institutions received the awards in their respective categories.

They include Uganda Communications Commission, the Federation of Uganda Football Association, Quality Chemicals, and Civil Aviation Authority among others.
