Nagenda said that the former National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretary General and Prime Minister, will score 7 percent in the February 18th elections.

He forecasted that Forum for Democratic Change (FDC presidential candidate Kizza Besigye will garner 20 percent.

In an interview with NBS TV today, Nagenda opined that Mbabazi should have rallied behind Besigye.

“Daily Monitor poll gave him (Mbabazi) 5%; 19 people out of 20 doubt his potential,” he said, adding, “Quite comical that Mbabazi, a former premier, can be so little regarded by the electorate… Mbabazi’s peers don’t regard him highly, some don’t like him. Before announcing, he should have done a poll on himself.”

Nagenda also dismissed Besigye as a perennial loser who has lost elections three times.

“Some people give you confidence to elect them. Others don’t. Besigye has failed three times already. Perennial loser.”

Commenting on Besigye’s defiance campaign, he noted that even the FDC presidential candidate does not know what he is talking about.

“Defiance, not compliance? I don’t know what that means. Don’t think Besigye knows what that means.”

He said president Museveni has been around for a long time and his message resonates with the electorate given what he has done for this country.
