Meek Mill’s Mugshot Surfaces As He Begins Prison Sentence

On Wednesday (Nov. 8), embattled rapper Meek Mill officially entered the Pennsylvania State Correctional Institution at Graterford in Montgomery County, days after being Sentenced for violating a 2008 gun and drug case.

A new mugshot was revealed on Wednesday showing the rapper clad in a yellow jumpsuit, staring directly into the camera. According to a source in NBC Philadelphia , the yellow prison garb is worn by newly-received prisons for Grateford and is different from the standard department of corrections jumpsuit.

Meek’s two to four year sentence derives from a failed drug test and failure to comply with a court order, which restricted his travel. Despite public outcry from the hip-hop community and his lawyer, Joe Tacopina, vowing to appeal Common Plea Judge Genece Brinkley’s decision, Meek will now have to serve his time behind bars.
