The Police wants to establish whether the number is linked to General David Sejusa, the former coordinator  of intelligence services who fled the country to United Kingdom over two months ago.

The head of the political desk at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Fred Milondo confirmed that Police had taken interest in the number.

“One wonders why someone would put up a number and urge members of the public to call someone,”  Milondo questions.

Milondo said he had instructed Police at Wandegeya to open a General Inquiry File to establish the motive of the person who put out the number.

However, when  the number 0782158711 is called, one is greeted with a woman’s voice who denies any connections to Sejusa and insists it is a wrong number.

  1. Let me first get this clear “The writings appear at bus stops on Kampala road, Jinja road and Wandegeya in Kampala”. Now that it has been known by police the number belongs to a woman who even goes a head to tell them that it is a wrong no., UPF whay next step?

  2. Is UG police scared of this man even when he is that far away from the country! If the number is there so what. Of course there are people who hate Sejusa and there are those who like him. That is natural.

  3. cowardice running through their nerves, how do simply run up and down investigating just the phone no’ sighted on bus stops/stages.you should have other important things to do.launch your investigation on things like murder cases, why strikes are happening all over, robbery cases, police you have to much work you can embark on.

  4. Uganda’s security, please don’t expose your amateurish ways of work. Intelligence & security investigation on suspected mobile numbers can be done swiftly and much more smartly than this – especially after all mobile numbers have been registered. To put this number in the media and claim to be investigating it is sheer incompetence to say the least. What do you expect from the person holding that number after this article?

In addition please stop intimidating people by linking every thing to Sejjusa! How can that number be linked to Sejjusa? What would Sejjusa want to talk with strangers about? If he is the type of person you fear to be working towards removing the government, do you believe he will interact with the public like that? Could NRA have done such a thing? Give us a break boys, we are smart enough to see through this crap which you are throwing around.
