SC Villa Thrash Lweza FC

SC Villa interim manager Ibrahim Kirya registered his first win following a 3-1 win at Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku on Friday evening.


Kirya obtained his first victory after a three consecutive draws as a Villa Manager.

Villa took an early lead in the 10th minute, with Ronald Muganga registering his 6th goal of the season.

The away side scored the second goal in the 62nd minute through Erisa Ssekisambu, who dribbled past Lweza FC Captain Mutyaba Dennis.

Lweza FC manger, Henry Kalanzi responded by replacing Mutyaba Denis and Rajab Kakooza with Mike Sserumaga and experienced winger Dan Wagaluka respectively to give his side a new game plan.

The hosts however continued attacking and former SC Villa midfielder Moses Ndaula netted in the 83rd minute to make 2-1.

After the score, Lweza strikers looked like wounded lions as they launched numerous and deadly attacks on SC Villa defense though most of the chances went begging.

With few minutes left to blow the final whistle, Villa’s Kasule Abdu-Karim came in hit the last nail in the coffin by scoring the third goal.

As part of their daily routine at Wankulukuku, Lweza FC fans responded by throwing stones at players.

Thanks to Uganda Police that responded by firing teargas at Lweza FC fans.

According to the new FUFA safe and disciplinary measures, “Any fans or stakeholders of a club (s) found guilty of involvement in acts of violence during the match or after shall have their team docked two points.”

Elsewhere table leaders SC Vipers recorded a 2-0 win past Simba FC to remain top of Uganda Premier League log.

KCC recorded their fourth straight win after thrashing SC Victoria University 2-0 Baker Lukoya and Joseph Ochaya were on the day’s score shit.

Soana FC who are in the relegation battle shocked  Bright Stars with a 2-1 win while BUL FC were 1-0 winners against struggling Kira Young at Kakindu stadium.
