Uganda Cranes head Coach Mlutin Micho Sredejovic has urged Ugandans that there is still a chance for the Uganda Kobs to advance to the continental U-23 championship in Senegal.
Addressing the media on Wednesday morning at FUFA house Mengo, Micho said that the results were not a reflection of what transpired on the field of play and believes the dream of qualifying for the U-23 Championship is still alive.
“Besides the results being negative on our side, we can reverse the same thing at home, we are not Ghana but they beat Egypt 6-0 and we can also do the same thing. Football is funny and anything is possible,” remarked the Cranes tactician.
The Kobs needs to score 5 unanswered goals or a 4-0 victory to push for penalty kicks when they host Egypt in the second on Saturday August 1, 2015 to stand a realistic chance of advancing for the continental U-23 championship.
The Kobs is expected to have a friendly match against Uganda Cup champions SC Villa on Saturday, 25th July 2015 plus another friendly expected on Wednesday 29th August.
Training resumes on Thursday 23rd July 2015 at KCC FC home grounds, Phillip Omondi stadium Lugogo.
