In a post the scribe published today, he contemplates seeking asylum. However it has been established, according to one of his close friends, Thembo is also being witch-hunted for attempting to uncover the truth concerning mysterious murders in the district dating back to the 1980s.

Thembo who is also a radio presenter working with Kasese-based Guide Radio, had this to say via the social media network – Facebook. “I am planning to seek political asylum because am being persecuted for the truth. I am that principled journalist whose actions have angered many. Can anyone help me how best I can do this? Yesterday, it was almost confrontation with one of the big men of Kasese who attacked me in my line of duty. He attacked me when I was interviewing one of the councilors who had concerns over why the district Public Accounts Committee has never released reports since 2004.”

  1. we’v seen people mysteriously killed over the recent years, suggest you alert the police and have your movements calculated

  2. Share all your findings with someone else so that if anything happens to you we all know who to go to. Things like a Kasese big man do not help. Reveal their names.

    Keep fighting the good fight.

  3. Corruption in that district has hit the roof. If you are killed we shall force the report to be released so that we can get suspects and proceed. Just go ahead and tell the truth. The corrupt have no inheritance in heaven!

  4. Take heart. Keep on keeping on. God will make a way where there seems to be no way. Aluta continua.

  5. Its a very good idea to lead the fight against corruption but i would advise you to include police in your search so you will be accorded protection. More so your investigations will hold water if you are working hand in hand with the police or else people might accuse of indulging in their privacy or interfering with the police work. do not forget that our laywers earn money through playing around with word and protect the corrupt.
