The Buganda Road Court has ordered the arrest of former FDC leader, Dr. Kizza Besigye and Kampala Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago after they failed to appear in court to answer to the case of unlawful assembly.
Besigye, Lukwago alongside Kampala Woman Member of Parliament, Nabila Nagayi, Kawempe Mayor, Mubarack Munyagwa and Head of Women Wing FDC, Ingrid Turinawe were supposed to appear in court on Friday to answer to the case of unlawful assembly which according to the prosecution lead to the death of police officer, Bosco Ariong.
The court has ordered that they be captured and arrested before the 14th of December this year.
Besigye and his team were charged with unlawful assembly when accompanying Kampala Mayor, Erias Lukwago on an inspection tour in the central business center of Kampala. They are being charged alongside other 11 people of whom six are to be charged with the death of Gen. Ariong.
Upon arrest, Besigye was released on police bond after being charged with unlawful assembly.
