Busitema University Guild Elections End in Strike

Guild elections of Busitema,University Arapai campus ended up in chaos after students discovered that the number of ballot papers delivered was less than the number of registered  voters. A student who told the media explained that there are 1800 registered voters but only 1600 ballot papers were delivered.


Students who were un controllable said that unless the university gives them Identity cards, they are not to take part in the elections. This led to the authorities to postpone elections after additional ballot papers are delivered. The police was brought in to save the situation.

Deogracious Olila,the vice Chancellor Arapai campus admitted that there was unrest at the campus, saying they are doing everything possible to ensure the elections are held on Tuesday.
