KCCA FC will be all out to stretch their lead in the FUFA Super League when they face Police FC this afternoon.
The table leaders faltered last week with a draw against Victors FC, but Coach George Nsimbe says he is going for a win against the policemen. Nsimbe however admits that his players have sometimes failed to convert the many chances in front of goal.
Second placed Vipers FC will also be hungry to beat Kira Young to close the points on KCCA FC. But the Kira Young coach George Ssemwogerere has warned that his side will put a stop to Vipers’ recent winning run when they meet at the Buikwe Stadium today.
Ssemwogerere says he is targeting to finish in the top five positions and is now treating every remaining game in the League as a final.
But Vipers FC, who are only five points behind table leaders KCCA FC, will not take any game for granted either. Under their Nigerian tactician Ambrose Buru Chukuma, they are looking to return to winning ways after being held to a 1-all draw by army side Simba last week.
Mid table sides Proline FC and SC Victoria will also be in action at the Lugogo Stadium. Last week Steven Bogere’s Proline FC managed to jump out of the relegation zone on the log after holding Entebbe FC to a barren draw, but they will be hoping to get a win today which has eluded them for a long time now.
Simba will travel to Wankulukuku Stadium to battle Frank Anyau’s Entebbe FC. Simba will however miss the services of their Coach Fred Kajoba who was last week suspended from the touchline for two games.
