Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has condemned the International Criminal Court (ICC) for ‘unfairly’ targeting certain African leaders.
Delivering a speech during the inauguration of Kenya’s fourth President Uhuru Kenyatta, Museveni said he once supported ICC, but had since changed his position because of its apparent selective justice system. He said the body was being used by the west to install leaders of their choice in Africa and because of that he thanked Kenyans for rejecting the blackmail of the west and voting leaders that they really wanted.
In his speech, President Museveni also thanked outgoing Prime Minister Raila Odinga for giving Dem0cracy a chance, saying the fact that elections were held peacefully was Democracy by completion and should be commended.
Uhuru Kenyatta is Kenya’s Fourth President and son to its first, this marks his return to Kenya’s state house as a president and not a first son.
