According to the President’s Communication Assistant, Sarah Kagingo, this year’s round table is organised by Africa Matters Ltd in conjunction with Government of Uganda. The round table brings together investors both foreign and local to advise government on how to improve the investment climate.
The bi-annual meetings are attended by Cabinet Ministers as well as Permanent Secretaries.
Ms Lynda Baroness Chairperson of Africa matters Ltd says, “when His Excellency the President invited me to consult on how best to structure a new round table, it became clear that expert sector focus and more discussion time were the two issues that he wished to change. He was very clear about the type of advice he wanted and the calibre of delegates we should involve.”
This year the Round Tables will focus on Communications and Technology (ICT), Oil and Gas, and Agriculture, with emphasis on value addition.”
