Makerere University beat Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) 2-1 to safeguard its 5th position in the first round of
University football league.
In the game played before a full cheering capacity at Makerere grounds in Kampala, Businde Simon put the hosts ahead with thundering strike in 31st minute before Musindo Silagi came in with the equalizer 6minutes later. Bitum Oscar netted the winner early in second half.
The win glued Makerere in 5th position with 10points while MUST’s lose let them 7th on the table jointly led by Nkumba and Kampala
university.
First round ends on 4th May 2013 with one game in Nkozi where UMU hosts MUBS.
Second round begins late August this year.
