Former Cranes winger Joseph Kabagambe is back in the Sudanese League after signing for a Darfur based side, El Merreikh El Fasher.
Kabagambe was part of the El Merreikh El Fasher team that held Rwanda’s APR to a 1-1 draw in a Cecafa Kagame Club Championship tie on Friday in Darfur.
The midfielder who featured for Al Neer in the Sudan League 2009 -2011 before returning to Uganda where he played for Kira Young in the FUFA Super League last season reportedly signed a two year contract.
Kabagambe revealed that he had signed a two year contract with El Merreikh El Fasher. He said that he preferred the Sudanese league because it is better.
Kabagambe who also featured for Rwanda side Atraco (2008-2009) is the only Uganda featuring in the Sudan Premier League. Another Ugandan Mike Mutyaba also featured in the League 2011-2012 before giants El Merreikh traded him to TP Mazembe of DR Congo.
