Kenyan referee Francis Orlando stopped the fight when Odeke started bleeding after Nassab had landed a heavy punch on his face.

After the fight, Nassab said he had finally silenced his opponent who had been talking a lot. The Iranian said he would like to come back to Uganda for another fight in the future.

A disappointed Odeke however, said he will continue to work hard despite the loss.

Another Iranian boxer Govad Zovarhend also beat Hassan ‘Baba Bana’ Haruna in the middle weight World Boxing Council 10 round bout.

The Iranian Ambassador to Uganda, Dr Amir Hussein thanked the organizers and the boxers from his country for a job well done.
