The Prime Minister of Uganda Hon. Amama Mbabazi said that government will honour all former leaders and soldiers regardless of the regimes they served.
The Prime Minister said this while moving a Motion in Parliament to pay tribute to the late Gen Mustafa Adrisi who served as Vice President in the Idi Amin government from 1977 to 1978.
Gen Adrisi passed on at Mulago Hospital on Sunday July 28, where he battled diabetes and hypertension until his last breath.
The Prime Minister said that all former soldiers and other leaders will be paid all their entitlements.
“We shall accord the same recognition to all leaders who served this nation in their respective capacities,” said Mbabazi.
Amama hailed the late Gen Adrisi as a transparent performer, honest and always emphasised patriotism.
