The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has ignored Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanya`s ruling that four suspended members of parliament write apology letters before they access parliament precincts.
Jacob Oulanyah, the Deputy Speaker of parliament suspended three Members of Parliament over miss conduct during a heated debate on Public Order Management Bill two weeks ago.
The suspended legislators were Ibrahim Semujju Nganda (Kyadondo East), Odonga Otto (Aruu), Theodore Ssekikubo (Lwemiyaga) and Angeline Ossege (Soroti district).
These lawmakers were instructed by Oulanyah among other things to produce letters of apology before they could access Parliament after the three sittings suspension from the House.
The Mps vowed to maintain their stand of accessing the chambers without the apology letters.
Three of the MPs turned up on Wednesday without the letters but Speaker Kadaga did not consider Oulanyah’s ruling demanding the said legislators to enter with letters of apology.
The MPs who turned up are Odonga Otto, Ibrahim Semujju Nganda and Theodore Ssekikubo.
