University of Pretoria have signed Ugandan striker Geoffrey Massa on a long-term deal.
The 27-year-old, who played for Jomo Cosmos in the 2008/09 season, signs for AmaTuks from Northern Cyprus side Yenicami Agdelen SK.
“It’s been a while since I played in South Africa and I’m excited to be back,” Massa tells AmaTuks’ official website.
“I have to give my best for the team all the time, work hard at training and focus on each game.”
The Pretoria-based side have signed a total of four strikers this season, with Obadiah Tarumbwa, Lucky Mathosi, Atusaye Nyondo and Fikru Tefera joining the team.
Massa began his career in 2004 with Police FC in the Ugandan Premier League before moving to Egypt side Al-Masry Club in 2005.
He played three years in Egypt before moving in 2008 to South African club Jomo Cosmos and for the team he played 14 games and scored one goal.
In 2008 he left the team to return to Egypt and signed a contract with Itesalat. He has recorded 10 goals for the Uganda Cranes in 36 appearances since 2005.
