Coach Richard Makumbi’s Soana FC on Tuesday evening, went top of the FUFA Super League after a convincing 3-0 victory over Kiira Young FC at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
Francis Oloki netted a brace, while Siraje Turyamurebe scored the third goal to give George Ssemogere’s side no chance of recovery.
Oloki, who is now the league’s leading scorer with three goals, netted in the 10th and 48th minute, before Turyamurebe found the next in the 55th minute.
The win sends the newly promoted side to top spot with six points. “We are very happy to win a second straight game convincingly,” said a happy Makumbi after the game.
In the second game played at the Lugogo Stadium, army side Simba FC who had struggled to assemble a team on Monday, humbled Proline FC 2-0.
Alex Wutabi and Sula Ssebuza scored second half goals to register a perfect start in the 2013/2014 FUFA Super League.
The next games in the league will take place on August 30th. Seven games will be on card at different venues.
