On Thursday September 5, all roads led to the Kampala Serena hotel for the much anticipated Isaiah Katumwa Jazz concert.
At exactly six o’clock, the gates were opened and jazz lovers started to cross the threshold into Victoria hall.
Upon arrival, ushers arrayed in green, tight and skinny dresses would welcome you with a miraculous smile and would request to offer you a drink of your choice.
Surprisingly, the UPC party president Olara Otunnu arrived at the Serena hotel for the jazz concert.
He had to use the little time he heard to say hullo to his fans and supporters.
Up to now the soft spoken Olara is not married; he arrived at the Victoria hall alone.
At a few minutes past eight, the jazz maestro Isaiah hit the stage to wow his fans.
He thrilled the fairly filled house to the fullest for over two and a half hours. Fans would sing along with him.
Isaiah did his thing in a unique way; I must say it was the African style of jazz.
Fred Mukasa Mbidde of the East African Legislative Assembly was also in the house to feel the jazz rhythms of Isaiah.
Jazz revelers were drowned in booze throughout the show and some were seen drinking as if there was no tomorrow.
