Popular Kenyan R&B artist David Mathenge aka Nameless is set for the Ugandan tour where he will be performing on various events.
The Nasinzia singer has confirmed to the Red Pepper Online Team that he will be jetting into the country on Tuesday September 24. He will then perform with the Krackers at the Kings of comedy show on September 25.
Nameless will also perform on the waters of Lake Vitoria while gracing the Club Rouge Boat cruise slated for September 28.
Wahu’s hubby will conclude his Ugandan tour by a thrilling performance at the Kampala road based Club Rouge in an event dubbed Swag Party.
The last time Nameless visited Uganda was in April where he wowed his fans at the East African Carnival which was organised by the Gagamel Phamily boss Bebe Cool.
Who is Nameless?
Nameless alias David Mathenge was born in August 1976.
Nameless one of the popular Kenyan R&B artist singed to the Ogopa DJ’s record label.
He came to fame in 1999 through a star search contest on Kenya’s urban music station 98.4 Capital FM, which he won with his original song “Megarider.” The song was about a penniless young man who is trying to seduce a woman but only has enough money for a Kenya bus ticket and not for the life she desires. He later recorded a track with a producer called Tedd Josiah and it went on to be hot and on the chart for weeks in a row. This started out his musical career.
He went on to sign with the Ogopa DJ’s label in 2001 where he collaborated with artiste’s such as E-Sir on “Boomba Train” and Amani on the regional hit “Ninanoki” in 2002 which broke Kenyan chart records by staying at numeber 1 for one hundred and ten days.
Nameless went on to tour across East Africa, the U.s and U.K.
In 2004, he released his debut album “On Fire” and then married his Ogopa DJ label mate Wahu all in the same year; they have two children.
Nameless is not only a professional, talented and popular artiste, he is also an Architect graduate from the University of Nairobi.
