South African based Uganda Cranes striker Geofrey Massa could face weeks on the sidelines after had to be stretchered off following a collision with Thulani Hlatshwayo in the first minute of the University of Pretoria versus Ajax Cape Town PSL encounter on Sunday.
“He is having a scan done and he has a concussion, we just hope that it’s not a severe concussion,” his coach Steve Barker told reporters.
“He is a quality player and I think his [Massa] class and experience in these conditions would’ve helped us a lot, so it was a big blow,” Barker added.
Barker added that he was disappointed that his side didn’t walk away with the spoils but he is happy that kept another clean sheet.
“A bit disappointed that we didn’t get the three points but a positive is that we kept a clean sheet, that’s three clean sheets at home, we are unbeaten in three now at home, that is something we can continue to build-on.
