Scanad Scoops ‘Loeries’ Gong

Advertising giants Scanad Uganda, has won Silver Loeries at the 2013 Loeries Awards that took place in Cape Town on 21 and 22 September this year. Scanad was recognized for its SunDial billboard, for Warid telecom.With the SunDial billboard thesun casts a shadow pointing to a particular country, and at that time people could call that country at the lowest rates.

The Loeries, in its 35th year, is the most prestigious award in our region and has expanded to encompass all areas of brand communication including television, radio and print, communication design, direct marketing, PR Communication, live events, sponsorship, digital communication and integrated campaigns.

Commenting on this work, Scanad Creative Director Mr Amol R Kulkarni said “Brand communication or an advert creates brand awareness. Sometimes – a very few times – it does something extraordinary.

It makes an impact far greater than normal and is noticed and talked about. The company said that Advertising awards gives it great chance to push the creative boundaries.
