Ambrose Duru Chukuma, the former head coach of premier league side Vipers Sports Club was sacked for alleged non performance, RedPepper Online has learnt. Harunah Kyobe, the director Vipers Sports Club told this newspaper on Tuesday morning that they parted ways with Chukuma on Sunday for failing to deliver positive results for the club.
According to Kyobe, Chukuma had all the players he wanted but still failed to find a winning formula. He says following a series of inconsistent performances by the team, a crisis executive committee meeting resolved to relinquish Chukuma of his duties as the club head coach.
The former League champions, previously known as Bunnamwaya FC are currently seventh on the log having won two games from six games. Kyobe says Edward Golola, the assistant coach will take charge of the team as a care taker untill a new coach is brought on board.
Kyobe called upon all coaches who are qualified to apply for the job. He thanked Chukuma for the work done in the two years and wish him all the best.
