Exactly two days after the intrigue of the Uganda vs Rwanda in an international friendly, focus has returned to the drama of the FUFA Super League with five rounds of games to be played.
The top division league resumes on Tuesday after a week-long break with Week 14 games taking place from Kampala all the way up to Masaka.
League leaders SC Victoria, who enjoy a slender goal difference lead on 26 points from 13 matches, are set to be overtaken by second placed Kiira Young if they win away in Bombo where they visit 10th positioned Simba SC at Bombo Miltary Stadium.
And so a win for Kiira in Bombo will go in some way to seriously enhance their credentials as 2013-14 Super League title contenders.
Not far behind them are Soana in third place and they too are away at Namboole National Stadium in Bweyogerere, where they entertain former champions Vipers SC, who have maintained sixth place after drawing 1-1 in their rescheduled against SC Villa last week.
Vipers are currently serving a stadium ban after fan violence in Buikwe three weeks ago.
Promoted Kawempe side Bright Stars visit second from bottom Entebbe FC in Wankulukuku while last placed CRO from face struggling SC Villa at Nakivubo Stadium.
Masaka LC tactician James Kisekka will also today look to save his job when his side goes for maximum points at home against 2011 league champions Express FC who are also fight relegation in 13th position with as many points.
