There is no doubt that basketball fans will tonight re-experience double pleasure as following the return of the Friday Night Lights (FNL) basketball tournament that coincides with global famous Valentiners day celebrations.

Maureen Amoding will lead the only female squad Team Amoding after the elimination of Team Flirsh. Team Amoding, however, face a massive return against Team Blick in the second game of the night at YMCA tonight. Team LK4, captained by Isaac Lugudde, that was always expected to be a showbiz affair with several social elites is nomore after the former Big Brother Africa housemate relocated to South Africa.

In other opening day fixtures, newboys Team Sudi captained by Uganda Christian University (UCU) Canons ace Sudi Ulanga and Team Duxx, led by Steven Mwesigye aka Duxx make their first appearance against Team Malinga and Team Koma respectively while team Team Enabu playe Team Legends. Three-time champions Team Ikong play next weekend.

FNL also creates hype at a time when basketball experiences a huge lull between the end of the previous season in December and the start of the next in April. A whole eight weeks that keep fans interested in the game. “When you love basketball like I do you want to play or watch every day,” Brian Wathum says.
