Alex Kitatta says The Saints are focusing on the present and not getting ahead of themselves regarding the promotion race of Rwenzori group in the FUFA Big League.

Saints, 2-1 victors over Vurra from West Nile, are five points clear of first-placed Baza Holdings, who narrowly saw off VCC at Villa Park on Thursday.

“As a team we are not worried about the destination, we are worried about now, the here and now is giving us sleepless nights,” Kitatta tells Red Pepper Online Sport on Friday evening as the team prepares to leave for Masindi o face Taban Amin’s VCC this Sunday February 23rd.

“We take it one game at a time.”

Kitatta was Man of the Match against Vurra, and attributed his form to hard work coming from the bench to score his team’s opener.

“As an individual I am happy but it was all a team effort,” Kitatta said.

“Hard work is my biggest secret. I am never satisfied and I am always hungry,” maintained the striker.

Saints shall not be with first team centre back Brian Mukasa who was sent off against Vurra. And the captains Geoffrey Bwire and Mathew Mulumba who can both play at centre back are facing a race against time to overcome injuries.
