The Saints overcame a nervous resumption to the FUFA Big League second round by overcoming a stubborn Vurra FC  2-1 to go third on the Rwenzori Group.

The Saints completely dominated play in the first half but were guilty of wasteful finishing. The hosts could have scored six but the half ended 0-0 at UCU. The Saints were using UCU ground because the game originally scheduled for Sunday at Namboole had to me moved several times after Namboole because unavailable following CAF football.

The game was finally moved to Monday afternoon after Vurra got transportation difficulties and failed to make it on Saturday. But despite the confusion, the teams put up an entertaining first half with the Saints  dominating the proceedings with numerous raids on the Vurra goal.

And it was Alex Kitata aka Benzema who broke the deadlock when he rifled in the opener to calm the Saints nerves. Overlapping right back Julius Madepi, cheered on by a crowd of his fellow students at UCU got the second goal as the Saints took control.
