Steven Bogere’s depleted Jogoo side finished the 2013/14 FSL season first-round in 8th place losing five and drawing thrice in fifteen games.

Coach Richard Makumbi’s Soana FC who were promoted to the Super League this season are surprisingly in 6th position, two above the record Ugandan champions.

Bogere’s side picked a morale-boosting 2-0 away win over Soana in their first-round encounter at the Kavumba Stadium. Ayub Kisalita netted a brace for SC Villa as they moved to ninth place on the log.

The league’s leading top scorer Francis Olaki was kept at bay by the SC Villa defenders, who gave him no chance in front of goal and look to repeat the fete at Nakivubo on Friday.

Elsewhere, Proline FC must overcome unfavourable history when they visit St. Mary’s SS Kitende to play Vipers in the FUFA Super League.

The two sides have met seven times since 2010 but Vipers have …been the dominant force winning five times, losing once and the other tie fininshing in a draw.

Coach Shafiq Bisaso is positive ahead of the tie.

Entebbe FC host BUL from Jinja in Wankulukuku while URA welcome Masaka LC to Lugazi.
