The Prime Minister of Somalia Abdiwal Sheikh Ahmed Mohammed has paid glowing tribute to Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni for his outstanding role towards the restoration of peace in his country.
This happened on Thursday at a meeting between the two leaders that took place at Speke Resort Munyonyo in the Ugandan capital, Kampala.
The two leaders also reviewed the security situation in Somalia.
At the same meeting, President Museveni also received the Tanzanian Vice President Dr. Mohammed Gharib Bilal who was in the country to represent President Jakaya kikwete at the 4th Northern Corridor Integration Projects Summit.
President Museveni and his guest discussed bilateral issues between Uganda and Tanzania.
During the Summit, the Tanzanian Vice President Dr. Bilal saluted President Museveni for inviting Tanzania to attend the meeting.
He observed that Tanzania was convinced that the summit of the Northern Corridor Integration Projects will accelerate development in the region.
