Court of Appeal this morning upheld a High Court ruling throwing out the Woman MP for Luwero Brenda Nabukenya from her seat.
NRM’s Rebecca Nalwanga challenged Nabukenya’s 2012 by-election in the High Court last year but Nabukenya appealed the High court ruling in the court of appeal.
Justice Remmy Kasule delivered the ruling on behalf of his colleagues Augustine Nshimye and Stephen Kavuma.
The presiding judge has ordered for fresh by-elections in Luweero.
Brenda Nabukenya won the Luwero district Woman MP by-election in 2011 with a 30-vote margin after polling 14945 votes against Rebecca Nalwanga’s 14915 which prompted the former to take to the High Court protesting over the results.
