Soana v Kira Young
Entebbe v Vipers
Bright Stars v CRO
BUL v Simba
Joint leaders Vipers FC are set to add depleted Entebbe FC to their victims when they meet in the FUFA super League at Wankulukuku stadium today.
Entebbe’s campaign this season has been erratic as they lie 15th on the table with only 11 points but have not lost a match Vipers in the FSL.
Entebbe however are embroiled in a deep financial predicament with new coach Matia Lule having to handpicked players to fill his squad at the resume of the league last month that is definitely dogging their survival fight.
Last week, Vipers dropped two crucial points against newcomers Bright stars FC in Kitende. But with history against them, they will need to trend carefully in Wankulukuku.
The 2009 champions will have Malunda Musa shift to the right back position in the absence of Wadada Nicholas whojust returned from Zambia after playing for Uganda Cranes in an international friendly with Seku Ronald partnering Ssali Edward in central defence after suspension & injury lay off respectively.
They will also welcome back Ssentamu Yunus who has been sidelined by malaria together with Simon Serunkuuma who missed the match against Bright Stars match due a knock he picked up during training prior to Viper’s last match.
Kimuli Robert, Baliinya Juma, Muhammed Abdallah, Mpande Joseph together with Okhuti Ceasar and Miya Farouq are also available for selection.
Veteran forward Kinene Yusuf has scored for Entebbe in each of the previous three meetings against Vipers scoring 4 goals in the process and will lead the side’s onslaught though Siraje Ssentamu will miss the game out of suspension.
In Kakindu, Bul FC Coach Kefa Kisala is set to welcome back first choice defensive midfielder Hussein Kato and Dan Oyirwoth in the clash with Simba.
Kato returns from a concussion he sustained after a head clash with Robert Kimuli in the club’s 2-1 win over Vipers, while Oryiwoth has returned after sitting out the past three matches with a knee problem and malaria.
Midfielder Herbert Odopia will first pass late fitness test while former Masaka LC winger Bruhani Matovu is ruled out until the end of the season.
‘’They are all fine and I am glad to have them at such a moment,’’said Kisala.
‘’ We played poorly against CRO and Express in our last game because the boys were complacent but the return of the duo will bring in room for competition.’’
In the reverse fixture, both sides fired blanks at Bombo. If history is to go by, the army side stands a big chance having won twice, drawn thrice and lost one in their previous meetings.
Bul FC are placed eight with 30 points while Simba eleventh with 19 points on a 16 team log.
