Hon. Okupa Replaces Cecilia Ogwal At Pan African Parliament

Former Parliamentary Commissioner, Hon. Elijah Okupa has Hon. Cecilia Atim Ogwal, who resigned the seat after he was Opposition Chief Whip in parliament.

Hon. Elijah Okupa was sworn in as a Member of the Pan African Parliament at a function that was held on Monday March 10 in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.

“I bring to this body (PAP) a wealth of experience as I have been a Member of Parliament for 13 years,” said Hon. Elijah Okupa after he was sworn in.

“I am an exposed person. Uganda and PAP should expect effective representation in matters that concern Africa in general and Uganda in particular.”

During his term of service at Parliament of Uganda, Hon. Okupa served on various committees including, Budget, Finance, Presidential, Foreign Affairs, East African Community Affairs and the Public Accounts Committee.
