M7 Promotes Police Officers

His Excellence, The President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has promoted police officers for their endless effort put in while assigned on duty.

The Uganda Police Force released the names of the promoted officers via their official Facebook page.

Below is the full statement from Uganda Police;

His Excellence, The President/Commander in Chief has promoted the following female Police Officers to their respective ranks for exemplary performance:

1. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Adeke Tumusiime to Superintendent of Police (SP)

2. Inspector of Police (IP) Sadia Ali to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP)

3. Assistant Inspector of Police (AIP) Chelimo Zahara to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

ASP Sadia is attached to Kabalagala Police (Traffic Department), while ASP Chelimo, she is attached to Counter Terrorism Directorate as a trainer.

The promotion takes effect from 8/3/2014 (Women’s Day).

Police management and the entire Force thank His Excellence the President for promoting the officers and for recognizing their efforts.

Promotion of Police in Uganda is a true manifestation that Museveni supports torture of innocent people and that the more the opposition people are sprayed with teargas the more Police men shall be decorated with medals and given higher ranks in their services.This should be condemned in the highest Oder and terms and Museveni should be reminded that even Late President Amini did the same and that it’s a shame that he is doing the same messy in the modern Uganda.
