KCCA FC coach George Best Nsimbe has termed their Friday 28 March 2014 FUFA Super league tie against struggling Masaka LC a must win despite the latter’s poor run this season.
Masaka L.C, currently on 14 points from 20 games have a very realistic chance of surviving the relegation monster should they pick up positive results along the way and will be meeting a side with one of the best defence in the league, with only 17 goals conceded yet, currently fifth on the log with 37 points from 19 matches while the Masaka based side remains smartly tucked in the relegation zone with a -12 goal difference and 14 points.
In an interview with Red Pepper Online Nsimbe expresses awareness of how tough the meeting can be if his arsenals lower their mental concentration in the game but said a win will be compulsory to go top of the table.
“There is always the danger of seemingly soft points being dropped if your mental focus is left somewhere else. They have had their own difficulties this season but that is not our focus, we want to win and move up the table just like them and we will go all out for it, he said.
A win over KCC will see this upcountry team up on 17 points; just a point over Express (should Express falter at Namboole and above Proline).
The game is on today at Lugogo Stadium the home of the defending champions.
