Ntungamo Taxi Operators & Drivers Association (NTODA), were the second regional league team to enter the third round of the Uganda Cup after eliminating FUFA Super League side Simba SC.
NTODA took the lead but Patrick Bonnabaana equalised in the 39th minute as the game ended 1-1 after regulation time.
During the resultant spot kicks, the Western Regional League side eliminated the army side 5-4.
Simba are the third top flight side to crash out of the knockout tournament following Bright Stars, who were beaten 1-0 by Big League side Lweza in the second round and Kira Young, who were ejected by Kireka United in the second round.
The Saints earn walkover
Masindi Tigers, a regional league side failed to show up on Sunday at Namboole to play the Saints.
Masindi Tigers, were meant to play Big League side, The Saints, in a round of 32 game – but did not pitch.
Tigers earned a walkover against Mbale Heroes, who did not travel to Masindi in the previous game, while The Saints eliminated Bombo United. This means that The Saints qualify for the round of 16 after the game, which could be declared a walkover.
