Respected football club chairmen, Simo Dubajic and Mike Okua have been Monday selected to join negotiations in trying to solve the impasse between local soccer Fufa and league managers Uganda Super League (USL) over sponsorship.
SC Vicotoria University FC owner Simo and KCCA’s Okua were today part of the preporatory meeting at FUFA House Mengo and the 16 clubs plying their trade in the top flight under the FUFA Super League chaired by FUFA boss Engineer Moses Magogo.
Fufa publicist Ahmed Hussien confirmed the developments in a statement on the FA website maintained the details of the negotiations will only be revealed to the public after conclusive decisions have been reached.
Fufa and USL have for long been in conflict over how funds meant for Uganda’s biggest competition should be managed. USL accused Fufa of abusing its power of a special shareholder in the company while the latter accuse the former of disrespecting football rules.
