Chaos between Badilisha singer Jose Chameleone and URA officials rocked Lugogo Cricket oval as the latter moved to attach Chameleone’s car after he failed to pay taxes worth seven million shillings.
Despite the Warrant of Distress, Sources have revealed that the much anticipated concert will go on as planned.
The plan by the URA officials to attach Chameleone’s escalade angered him and he has vowed to die with anyone who tampers with his car.
“Whoever touches my escalade, I will die with him,” charged Chameleone.
Chameleone however blamed the URA for not sensitizing the musicians about these types of taxes.
“Most of us musicians never went to school and we don’t know how these taxes are charged. I have never failed to pay taxes but am not aware. Why don’t you translate these things to Luganda and we understand them?” Chameleone blamed the URA officials.
The Tubonge singer has however stressed that his escalade car should not be attached as he preferred to offer the BMW car.
“This is my personal car and I have the right to it, if you admire it, you are not taking it anywhere!! . I have many cars to give you. Wait for the BMW and you attach it.”
Tubonge concert is on tonight at Lugogo Cricket Oval and many local based musicians are expected to grace the show.
