UCU Looks To Keep ZUKU League Lead
Going into Tuesday afternoon’s fixture, Uganda Christian University (UCU) Lady Canons coach Boniface Okello knows facing hosts Nkozi University is defiantly bound to be a daunting test for his side.

The Mukono-based side possesses a number of National Basketball League players by press time were preparing to play Uganda Martyrs’ University (UMU) at Nkozi in the Zuku University Basketball League.
“We (UCU) take every game seriously in this league,” Okello tells Red Pepper Online from the Mpigi based institution in a phone chat.
“The most important thing on our minds now is picking a win from Nlkozi this afternoon.
The fixture is among the 6 different fixtures on card at 3 separate venues this afternoon.
UCU are spurred by by the inspirational Purity Adhiambo against the fast improving UMU side, whose home advantage will count.
On the men’s side, UMU’s Daniel Babara will be the key figure to lead the home team against virtually an experienced UCU side that has the likes of Ivan Rumanyika, Amos Okello and Jonthan Egwau among others.
Away in Luweero district, home teams Ndejje University (both men and women) will entertain Kampala University (KU) in games expected to kick off at early as 2 pm.
In the heart of Kampala city at Makerere University main grounds courts, Cavendish University plays host to Bugema University in two different sets of genders’ games.
The next round of games will be played at Makerere University on Friday and the following day on Saturday at the same venue.
