FUFA Reveals Afcon $400,000 Bonus And Allowance System

Local soccer governing body FUFA has announced the bonus and allowance system for players and officials while on national team duty. The system that was revealed to the Uganda Cranes players at their residential base in Nalya, Sky Hotel on Thursday by the President Engineer Moses Magogo before they left for the Island nation.
The system becomes operational starting with this weekend’s qualifier against Madagascar.

It will be included in the FUFA Financial Manual where players will be aware of their standard allowances and performance based bonuses. The bonuses will be given to players for wins, draws plus ‘useful losses’ of matches.

The standard allowances will be for daily training sessions, the matches and home upkeep.
Magogo, who was meeting the Uganda Cranes players inclusive of the foreign based stars for the first time since becoming FUFA President, told the players that they are privileged to represent the country in a sport that is widely followed by the football fans.

‘The bonuses and allowances will be improved on depending on the availability of funds from our sponsors and partners. There is room for improvement’ revealed Magogo.
