‘Museveni’ Suspended from Fun Factory
National theatre based Fun Factory has suspended one of their best comedians Ssegujja Hebert well known as Mendo Museveni until further notice, Red Pepper online exclusively reports.
According to our highly placed sources, Ssegujja was suspended for not attending today’s rehearsals ahead of tonight’s performance.
“Hannington Bujjingo who is among the directors told Mendo on phone that he is suspended for failure to appear for rehearsals,” confirmed the source.
A source close to the group said that Mendo’s failure to appear for rehearsals is being used as a scapegoat to dismiss him from the group because they are envying his faster route to success.
“Mendo has been getting a lot of gigs and he is earning good money plus popularity and this is not going down well with some members who don’t get external gigs,” confirmed the source.
“He recently obtained a state house scholarship to study from the American Comedy Institute. How come these suspensions are coming now? Something is not right here,” charged the source.
Mendo who has secured many gigs for imitating the president recently performed at the wedding of Sudhir Ruparelia’s daughter.
