“I have always been ready to represent my country when called upon,” Muwonge tells Red Pepper Online from Kenya where he stars for KPL side Thika United.

Muwonge intimated to this paper that Cranes boss Micho is in touch with him after it emerged that senior goalkeepers Robert Odongkara and Dennis Onyango could miss the first leg of the 2015 Nations Cup qualifier away to Madagascar on May 18.

Odongkara suffered a knee injury on duty with St George in Ethiopia at the weekend while Onyango will be involved with Bidvet Wits’ in the Nedbank final a day before the Cranes game.
The squad also has two other goalkeepers including Vipers’ Ismail Watenga and Benjamin Ochan of Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU).
